Rediscover your divine light.

Within all of us is a spark of divine light. You can even call it our soul or spirit. It’s the connection we have with Spirit. Sometimes it can very much feel like there is no shine to our lives, only a dull, dirty window we are looking through and trying to make sense of. Looking through this glass, things are unclear, bleak, and confusing because we lack strength in our light. The light is there — it has just been weakened by the difficulties we have lived through and the challenges we face daily.

The most profound way I have found to help this light shine brighter is through creative arts: drawing, painting, writing, music, singing, poetry, hobbies, crafts — truly letting your soul speak through the skills you have been blessed with. If you believe in a Creator and are in a creative process yourself, than you are a co-creator in your life. If you see the Creator as a “divine light,” then when you create, you are sharing that light — it is moving through you. The more creative endeavors you engage in, the brighter your light becomes as it washes away the muck of residue left by old beliefs, perceptions, hurts, disappointments, and truths.
